Welcome!
I love everything about reading and writing, and my heart belongs to children’s literature, especially middle grade and young adult.
Teacher by day, I have a bachelor’s degree in English and a concentration in secondary education.
I am a member of SCBWI and completed my MFA in Children’s Literature at Hollins University. I am an aspiring author with a soft spot for girls who love science and boys with a creative side.
I have won two writing competitions: the SCBWI Student Writer Scholarship for Winter 2016 and the Shirley Henn Award for Best Creative Submission at the 2012 Francelia Butler Conference.
